Humans have been celebrating important milestones for thousands of years, from birth to death and everything in between. I became a celebrant because I wanted to help people mark life’s key occasions with a ceremony that they will never forget. Whether you are saying good-bye to a loved one, saying I do to your betrothed or welcome to the world to a newborn, I can help you design a service that is not only highly personal, but unique to you, your family and your loved ones.
I have an extensive background in research. Because of this, I will help you not only discover the best reading, poem or music for your ceremony, but will work hard to learn everything I need to know to ensure a stress-free, memorable celebration, whether you are after a straight forward traditional service or something a little more unconventional. In addition, I have experience with public speaking, as well as presenting on radio and television. You can rest assured that your ceremony will be led in the most professional manner possible.
As a member of the International College of Professional Celebrants, I am trained to perform not only funerals, weddings and baby naming ceremonies, but any ceremony commemorating a major life event. I am completely independent, meaning I am free to design and conduct ceremonies that are religious, secular or anywhere in between.
If you wish to discuss a ceremony, for whatever type of event, or if you simply wish to know more about me, please don’t hesitate to get in touch via email, phone or through my social media.
I celebrate diversity and honour each person’s right to live life as the unique human being they are.
I will not discriminate (indirectly, directly or by association) on the grounds of race, gender, gender reassignment, marital or partnership status, sexual orientation, age, religion or belief, HIV status, or disability (including sensory and physical disabilities, learning disabilities, neurobiological difference and mental health status).
WHAT PEOPLE SAY
"I would like to thank you for the sincere and professional manner in which you conducted my mother-in-law's service. Together with the funeral home's professionalism, it made saying goodbye a little easier."
"Thank you for making a difficult day much easier than it could have been - you really made a difference."
"It's only when you have had the time to reflect that you realise how much the little touches mean to you, such as the hard copy of the script. Once again, I would like to thank you for this."
